AFTER a meeting with the Commission for Health Improvement (CHI), at which I outlined my concerns in detail about the way the Worcestershire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is being run, I think that it is about time that all local MPs called for a public inquiry into the shambolic way those with mental health problems are being treated.

Over the past few weeks, there have been several cases highlighted in the local Press.

The distress caused to the families directly involved is bad enough, but the delay and denial by the Trust to investigate in a proper manner, adds insult to injury.

The complaints procedure is a complete farce, and something should be done.

MPs' time would be better spent looking after their constituents, rather than going on about banning fox hunting.

They should get their priorities right and do something that benefits the whole community.

The people of Worcestershire deserve a much better service than they receive at present. Run a Health Trust? I wouldn't let them run my bath.
