FARMERS are being urged to take a last opportunity to consider the Countryside Stewardship Scheme.
Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group (FWAG) is holding an information day at Much Marcle on Wednesday (October 22), when farmers can look at the arable options element of the scheme.
Next year will be the last that farmers can apply for the scheme, which is being replaced. The FWAG event includes a visit to Orchard Farm, in Bosbury, where farmer Bernard Powell will discuss the practicalities. For more information, contact Janet Lomas on 01684 578857.
