Dyson Perrins CE High School really hit the mark this week, receiving a £3,950 grant for archery from the lottery's Awards for All scheme.
The grant will aid a project to benefit school children in the Malvern area by the introduction of archery. The money will pay for new equipment, transport costs, training, professional fees and volunteer expenses.
Teacher Gareth Wynne said: "I am elated. At the moment, we are borrowing equipment from Malvern Archery Club but now we can buy our own. It will be great for the school and the community."
The county Chinese Assoc-iation has been given £3,600 grant towards a new year event.
