A DECISION by Hereford-shire Council on car parking charges is being challenged.
Three councillors, included Ledbury's Barry Ashton, have 'called in' the decision, hoping to force the council to reconsider.
The issue will be looked at again by the council's environment scrutiny committee on Tuesday.
They say they are acting because they are concerned about the impact on the economic viability of market towns, including Ledbury and Bromyard.
Proposed changes for Bromyard include abolishing charges for Rowberry Street car park and increasing them in Tenbury Road. The Bay Horse and Hop Pole car parks would remain free.
In Ledbury, charges would be increased in Bye Street and St Katherine's and introduced in Lawnside Road, leaving just Bridge Street free.
