Malvern Hills District Council will support grants for disabled people in the area to adapt their homes for the remainder of the financial year.
The council made the decision to allocate a further £28,000 to the disabled facilities grant fund, at a meeting of its executive committee on Tuesday.
It must award the grants to those with disabilities to alter their homes if occupational therapists agree there is a need.
The council has also agreed to replace £20,000 moved in August from the discretionary grant programme, which funds home repairs for people on benefit, disabled people, those over 60 and people classed as infirm, to fund an increased demand for disabled facilities grants.
