PERDISWELL 1,
MALVERN RADAR 0
THIS game had 0-0 written all over it until a bizzare own goal gave Perdiswell all three points.
It was a dour struggle throughout and following their good battling display last Sunday, Radar must have been very disappointed.
The keepers were rarely brought into action although in the first half Radar's Clive Churchill rocketed a 30-yard volley just over the bar and keeper Phil Birch was saved by his post when Carl Smith shot from a narrow angle for Perdiswell.
Radar should have taken the lead during the second half when John Rooney, who was practically stood on the goal line, somehow failed to get his head to Churchill's corner.
The deciding goal came with 20 minutes left and it certainly would not win any goal of the month competition. Radar's Adam Stimpson appeared to have cleared the danger when he headed the ball off the goal line only to see keeper Birch gently pat the ball into his own net in a complete moment of madness.
Despite Andy Guyatt's usual enthusiasm he was unable to rally his team mates to lift their game to grab a point.
This Sunday Radar entertain Nunnery Wood Sports at Victoria Park, players meet 9.45am.
