I READ with some interest your article on the state of Stourport bridge.

This whole sorry episode can only be described as an absolute disgrace.

For a town whose existence depends on visitors coming and spending money, surely it's survival relies on projecting itself in the most positive manner possible.

The current state of the bridge hardly does this. It makes me wonder whether the bridge in Worcester would be allowed to get into such an awful state? I think not!
