A SUPERB display by keeper Simon Wills failed to save Wyre Forest Brintons from a 2-0 home defeat to West Midlands League Division One South leaders Bridgnorth Town Reserves.

Wills kept out dominant Bridgnorth for the first 30 minutes before Forest Brintons came more into the game.

But the home side only created two half-chances with Stuart Brogan's shot saved by keeper Leith and then Neil Perks just cleared the bar with an effort.

Forest Brintons suffered a set-back when midfielder Sam Pountney was unable to carry on with a leg problem and had to be replaced by Darren Raybould.

The visitors continued to boss play in the second half but with only five minutes left Forest Brintons thought they had the chance of a point.

But a cross from the left by Steve Crann found Steve Broome and he headed home for Bridgnorth.

In the final minute, sub Tim Jones made the game safe.

Raybould was the only Forest Brintons player to nearly find the net when his header hit the bar.

The players are asked to meet at the Hare and Hounds pub at 12.30pm for Saturday's game at Bustleholme Reserves.
