THERE was a good attendance at the recent AGM.
The club continues to thrive under the chairmanship of Elaine Hemming-Allen, who has now completed her first year in office. She was thanked for her excellent work. Several committee members stood down after their three years in office, including the competition secretary, membership secretary and general secretary.
With the exception of membership secretary, new nominations came forward and after the agreement of the membership secretary to serve another year, a full complement of officers and committee were elected.
Mr Taylor, of Mill Lane Nurseries, then gave an excellent demonstration on how to make up winter hanging baskets. The next meeting will be on November 5 when Jim Clarke will talk on An English Country Garden. This will be at Wythall Village Hall, Alcester Road, at 7.30pm.
