WHAT would have been a much better, not to mention cheaper, idea for this film would have been to stick the actors in a locked room armed with bottles of ketchup which they have permission to squirt randomly at each other.

This is one of the most stupid blood fest offerings ever to sully the silver screen.

Tommy Lee Jones plays Lieutenant Bonham from the US Special Forces, who has inadvertently created a monster killer in Aaron Hallam (Benicio Del Toro).

For some reason, which is never explained, Hallam has decided not to use his mercenary skills to kill US enemies but instead decides to kill hunters - like you do.

It's Bonham's job to track down and capture Hallam, which he does, numerous times. The killer acts like some kind of maniacal eel, constantly slipping through Bonham's fingers, which isn't surprising seeing as how he's 'helped' in his mission by a moronic bunch of cops. They made the idiots in the Police Academy movies look like nuclear physicists by comparison.

All in all this is a woeful film which lacks any logic and just acts as evidence that the director, producer and script writers had lost any contact with reality.

There are some extras on the DVD, presumably giving an insight into how many bottles of ketchup were hurt in the making of the film.
