Bert Coleman held a captivated audience at the September indoor meeting. His talk gave an insight into many aspects of bird behaviour. A beautiful morning, with the sun highlighting early autumnal tints, welcomed an excellent turnout of birders for the September outdoor meeting to Chelmarsh Marsh and Reservoir. Thirty bird species were identified, including kingfisher, reedwarbler and common tern. Our October indoor meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 22, at St Oswald's Church Centre, Broadwaters, at 7.30pm. We welcome again Mike Wilkes, whose subject will be wildlife of the Galapagos and the Mindo Cloud Forest.
