THE Shakespeare Schools Festival came to Malvern Theatres this week, with a series of short presentations of abridged plays.
Pupils from Malvern Girls' College, Malvern College, St James's School and John Masefield High School were among those taking part.
Nationally, 10,000 children from 350 schools performed at various venue over three days, beginning on Monday.
All were aged 11 to 15 and chose one of 12 specially adapted scripts, ranging from Romeo and Juliet to The Tempest.
Pupils in Malvern received full technical and artistic support from professionals at theatres for their 30-minute productions.
