The Swan Theatre Company will take to the stage to present an entirely new version of Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House.
This classic tale of marriage and blackmail has been modernised by playwright Brian J Burton, author of more than 50 published plays, dramas, comedies and musicals.
Mr Burton is no stranger to Ibsen's works, having adapted a version of Rosmersholm. Neither is he a new-comer to the Swan Theatre, having directed 20 plays there throughout his career. Mr Burton is also the current director of the Swan Theatre Company.
He aims to make A Doll's House more accessible to modern audiences, and describes writing his new version as "a labour of love", as it has always been one of his favourite plays.
Celinda Myatt from Malvern will be playing the role of Nora. Her husband, Torvald will be played by Simon Atkins, head of drama at the King's School, Worcester.
The play will run from Thursday, October 16, to Saturday, October 25, with performances at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £8, available from the Huntingdon Hall box office on 01905 611427.
