governors, parents and children of Colwall Primary School are working together to promote safe journeys to and from school.
Sian Jones, aged 11, who left the school last term and is now at Alice Ottley school in Worcester, won the £10 first prize in a 'design a poster' competition for the campaign.
The competition was judged by Jon Harris, a transport advisor, who devised a questionnaire about traffic safety for parents and children and produced a report for the school governors.
"As a parent governor I was very much aware of the drop-off and collection problems," said governor Anna Byers.
"It has become more and more of a problem as time goes on, particularly because the size of the school has increased over the past few years."
A working group has been set up to reduce the amount of traffic outside the school, and find ways of allowing children to walk there safely.
