Two county men will walk nearly 60 miles in aid of the Acorns Children's Hospice.

Mark Lannie and Ellis Badger work for Cooperative Funeral Services in Worcester and will walk to each of the company's branches in the area on Saturday and Sunday, October 18-19.

The pair will cover around 44 miles on the first day, armed with collection buckets and followed by a safety car. They will visit Droitwich and Evesham before camping overnight at Upton-on-Severn.

They hope to reach Upton around 6pm, where they will venture around the pubs in the area collecting money before taking a well deserved overnight's rest at a local campsite.

The second leg of the journey will take them to Barnards Green, Malvern, at approximately 10am-10.30am on Sunday on the way back to Worcester.

Mr Lannie has already raised an estimated £500 in sponsorship for the event by drumming up support from local businesses in the Lowesmoor area.
