MALVERN skateboarder Luke Badham is flying high after winning his first skate competition in Worcester.
Luke, aged 15, from Lower Howsell Road, beat around ten other competitors from around the region to take top spot in the under-16s category at RampAge Skatepark.
The Dyson Perrins High School pupil was rewarded for his prize-winning run with a new skateboard deck, a bag, T-shirt and other smaller prizes at the competition on Saturday.
Luke started skating three years ago and spends almost every day practising at Malvern Link's Victoria Park skate facility.
He said his win at the weekend followed the best run he could have put together, with virtually every trick coming off.
"It went good, it felt well good to win," he said.
Luke hopes to enter more competitions in the future.
