MALVERN Museum Association has announced details of its next three events, beginning with a fundraising concert.

The concert is an evening of jazz, popular and light classical pieces tomorrow (Saturday), at 7.30pm, at Christchurch Hall, Avenue Road.

Malvern quartet Saxofonix will be performing, the musicians all being teachers in South Worcestershire with a host of experience in various ensembles between them. Guest performers include violinist Eleanor Percy and Russian pianist Irina Lyakhovskaya.

Tickets are £8, including refreshments, from Malvern Museum, between 11am and 4.30pm, not Wednesdays. Alternatively, ring 01684 560563.

The concert will be followed, on Saturday, November 15, with a bridge and lunch event at Colwall Village Hall. Places are £12, including coffee, lunch and a glass of wine. Full tables or pairs are invited to ring 01684 560563.

On Thursday, November 20, there will be an illustrated talk by John Harcup on wood carvings in churches, especially in Malvern, Worcester and Ripple. This is at 7.30pm at the Shaw Suite, Abbey Hotel, Malvern, Admission is £6, including light refreshments.
