THE autumn diesel gala at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway is being held from October 24-26.
All available locomotives from the GWR's home-based and restored classic diesel heritage fleet will be used at the event.
Star of the show will be its latest acquisition, the Brush Type 4 Fund's 47376, returning to service for the first time in preservation following restoration work over the summer.
Yard tours at the Toddington station, near Tewkesbury, will also be available and visitors will be able to see the progress of restoration work on the 26043 and 45149, owned by the Cotswold Mainline Diesel Group.
Trains will originate and terminate at Toddington, with stops at Winchcombe and Cheltenham Racecourse. For more details, ring 01242 621405 or visit www.gwsr.plc.uk.
