AT the end of a very successful first year, Redmarley Short Mat Bowls Club held its annual general meeting and so successful were they that, depending on the availability of the village hall,an evening session is to be started on Thursdays. The roll up session starts at 7.30pm and will end at 8.30pm. All the short mat bowls equipment is new, thanks to the generous grant received from Awards for All and the Countryside Agency Fund. The club competed in the Summer League finished fifth, which was so good for a team less than a year old. The club has sets of spare bowls so if you are interested do go along where you will be sure of a welcome. The village hall is equipped with modern radiators so you will have a doubly warm welcome. Sessions are Tuesday 7.30-9.30pm (subject to the hall being free) and Thursday 2-5pm. Brian Claessen will give you further information if you ring him on (01452) 840481.
A service of parish communion will be held in St Bartholomew's Church, Redmarley on Sunday, October 12 at 9.30am.
