Many tributes have been paid to Mr Tony Cooper of Brand Green. Tony was a good friend to many people. He took an active part in village life and supported many good causes. Together with his wife, Eunice, he enjoyed the bingo sessions in Brand Green Village Hall and Upleadon Village Hall. In both places he is sadly missed. His cheerful smile and lovely sense of humour were appreciated by all and he retained these even when he was ill. His kindness will be long remembered. A thanksgiving service for Tony's life was held in St John the Evangelist Church, Pauntly on Friday, August 29, attended by a large congregation. The service was conducted by the Rector, the Reverend Patricia Phillips. Also taking part were two former rectors, the Reverend Dr Terry Williams and the Reverend Ray Martin. Sympathy and love from all who knew him go out to his wife, Eunice, daughter Charlotte and son Paul and all Tony's family.
