ON Sunday, October 12, there will be a family communion in St Anne's Church, Oxenhall, at 11am. The service will be conducted by the rector, the Reverend Patricia Phillips. On Sunday, October 19, it will be matins at 9.30am.

Also on Sunday, October 19, there will be an event celebrating apples. This will take place in the parish hall opposite St Anne's Church in Oxenhall. The area has a good reputation over many years for producing apples of all varieties. This day will have something for everyone. There will be an apple exhibition, apple games for all ages, apple tasting and apple drinks.

In addition there will be visits to and walks in local apple orchards. An added bonus is that there will be apple products to buy and take home. It will truly be a day of delights, entertainment, education and tasting food, all apple themed. Oxenhall has a proud recognition for daffodil teas and the apple teas will also be of the same high standard. It is all happening from mid-morning to late afternoon.

The next meeting of St Anne's Parochial Church Council will be held on Tuesday, October 14, at 7.30pm in Sandywell House.
