A TOTAL of 135 blood donors, including four first-timers, turned up when the collecting team visited Tenbury Wells on Sunday, September 28, and 124 of them were able to give blood.
Russell Wall earned a gold award for 50 donations, one donor received a silver award and three were given bronze awards.
Local National Blood Service organiser Ray Cox said the numbers were slightly down, but he was very grateful to those who gave blood. He also thanked the head teacher and staff at Tenbury Wells Primary School, the Guides who served the tea, and people who displayed posters.
The next session is on January 18, 2004.
