A STORMING second-half display gave Chaddesley Corbett a resounding 69-10 victory at Five Ways Old Eds in North Midlands Three.

Playing into a strong wind in the first half, Chaddesley took an early lead through a Nick White penalty.

They continued to dominate and the first try was midway through the half when Andy Colette crashed over after a tap penalty.

Five Ways started to use the wind effectively and punished Chaddesley's attempts to run the ball out of their own 22 with a converted try and a penalty.

But Chaddesley regained the lead just before half-time when Colette grabbed a second try and White converted.

With the wind at their backs, the visitors bossed possession and territory through their impressive strong-running forwards, particularly Anthony Dodge, Stuart Postins and skipper Carl Booth.

Colette completed his hat-trick of tries and then added a fourth with White adding the extra points both times.

They made light of the difficult conditions as Booth scored two tries and Colette yet another.

White converted all three before Peter Goodyear and Charlie D'auncy set up a debut score for centre Matt Hellewell.

Hellewell added a second and full-back Richard Ash managed a last-minute effort. White kicked two more conversions.

Five Ways postponed the seconds' fixture between the clubs.
