IT WAS always going to be tight between these two unbeaten sides and so it proved even though Rovers led 2-0 after 12 minutes.
Shaun Read and Matthew Layton were the players on target but Evesham hit back to level early in the second half.
Central defender and player of the match Alex Gretton then made it 3-2 for Salford but they couldn't hold out and an injury-time strike meant a share of the spoils.
