CHADDESLEY Corbett made a great start under new player-boss Ian Vogel with a 6-1 thrashing of All Blacks in the Worcester Nursing Cup.

A Craig Pratt hat-trick steered Chaddesley, whose manager Martin Westcott resigned last Thursday, to an emphatic win over Worcester League opposition.

But the first half was a scrappy affair with the defence of Gavin Knight, Stuart Jordan and man-of-the-match Brian Burton outstanding.

Chaddesley created little but took the lead on the stroke of half-time when Matt Baynton's precise through-ball to Richard Burton ended with Pratt finishing off a cross.

The home side started the second half brightly and Lee Williams sent Pratt free to race clear and bury his second goal into the corner of the net.

Chris Bow made it three shortly after with a header from an assist by Pratt who completed his hat-trick before being replaced by Ian Harvey.

Jamie Williams also came on to start his comeback from injury and Chaddesley conceded to a 20-yard drive.

But Neil Lucas and R Burton continued their fine recent form as the villagers pushed forward in search of more goals.

Another sub, Nic Oakley, fed by J Williams, beat a defender to finish his first goal for the club powerfully and R Burton completed the scoring with an easy late tap-in following fine work from Bow.
