STEPHEN Moore and Shaftab Khalid, who both made their first-team debuts for Worcestershire County Cricket Club last season, have agreed two-year contracts.

Batsman Moore made his County Championship bow against Glamorgan at Cardiff and also impressed in the Twenty20 Cup matches. Off-spinner Shaftab is included in England's Academy squad to tour Malaysia and India after making his first team debut last season against Oxford UCCE.

He also made his first appearances in the Twenty20 Cup, the National League and Championship, taking a career-best 4-131 against Northamptonshire.

Up-and-coming wicketkeeper Stephen Davies has also agreed a two-year deal while Jon Farrow and Jonathan Whitney have signed scholarship contracts meaning they will be part of the squad while attending University College Worcester.

New Road chief executive Mark Newton said: "All of them are under contract for 2004 and we are also discussing contract extensions with a number of the senior players."
