A MAN claiming to be from an electricity company walked into an 83-year-old woman's house and stole £200 in cash and two pieces of jewellery valued at £400.
He walked around the house in Tennyson Way, Kidderminster unscrewing some switches before asking the woman to test lights in the kitchen.
After he left, the woman discovered the money and jewellery had been stolen from drawers in her bedroom.
Anyone with information about the incident, at about 3pm on Friday, October 3, should contact PC Adrian Bartlett at Kidderminster Police Station on 08457 444888.
Police have warned residents in other areas to be on their guard in case the bogus official strikes again.
