MALVERN'S Mount Pleasant hotel is going to be refurbished after being sold to new owners.
The 14-room hotel, on Belle Vue Terrace, has been taken over by Marinder Bains and Aamer Gull, who also jointly run a hotel in south Wales.
It was previously owned by Julie and Alan Josey, who had run the hotel for two years.
The new owners plan to upgrade the toilet and kitchen areas and re-open the hotel's adjoining Number 50 restaurant, which has been closed for about a year.
They also plan to add six bedrooms, upgrade the two conference rooms and open the bar area to non-residents.
"We have lots of ideas at the moment and are just trying to plan the best way to go ahead," said Aj Bains, joint manager.
"I'm pretty confident it's all going to go well, though."
