A PHOTOGRAPHIC diary is clicking into shape after making a start on capturing the history of St Peter's, Worcester.
The photos of the new revamped piece of wasteland, at the back of the electricity substation, by Broomhall Way, were taken by David Edgerton, a member of St Peter's parish council, in February.
He took the photos because 2,300 saplings and trees had been planted there.
Mr Edgerton, who is also parish tree warden, showed the photograph album and the scrapbook to parish council members at a parish meeting.
He appeared in the Evening News at the beginning of July after the parish council agreed to buy a camera for £30, two photograph albums, and a scrapbook for parish newspaper clippings.
The idea is for Mr Edgerton to take pictures of anything that interests him from trees, to the openings of shops and 100-year birthdays.
"It's so that people can say in 20 years, 'so this is what this land used to look like,'" he said.
"I have just started the project and most of the photos taken are still in the camera.
"Some are of vandalism incidents including a car that was set on fire."
In the future the pictures may be scanned into the parish magazine News Link or on to the proposed parish council website.
Mr Edgerton has also started collecting cuttings from the Evening News about St Peter's, including stories and letters.
