SCORES that would have done well in the previous day's men's competition amply illustrated the young talent on show when Evesham staged its Junior Champion-ships.
The boys competition was keenly contested but it was Darran Law who took the lowest gross prize (79) and the Jim Tattersall Cup.
The Law family again proved the youngsters to shoot down as 12-year-old brother Scott recorded the best net score of 65 (Dan Cummins Cup), while also carding the best gross round in the Under-14 category - an effort that his handicap reduced to 18.
Sister and regular winner, Kirsty, claimed the girls title with a gross 80, while Eleanor Jones won the Mike Whiteford Cup for best net score (78).
Captain of the men's section, Phil Wheeler, presented the prizes after yet another wonderful day of junior action.
Other results - Longest Drive (3rd): Kirsty Law. Nearest the Pin (9th): Rob Handley. Nine-hole competition: 1 William Vaughan 85; 2 James Barker 62.
