BIDFORD'S county president Graham Williams brought a select team to take on the home side in Saturday's six-rink game.

The home side took an early lead of seven shots after five ends only to see this slip to minus eight after ten ends.

Bidford rallied over the next five ends to reduce the deficit to one shot.

The rally continued to see the home side run out winners by seven shots 127-120.

Bidford's highest winning rink was skipped by their president Ian Wilkins ably supported by captain Bill Ford, chairman Gordon Locke and lead Boz Harris.

The previous weekend South Warwickshire Bowling Association held their semi-final competitions at Wel-ford.

Congratulations are due to Alan Halliwell and Dave Bennett on defeating Trevor Fran-cis and Martin Timms (Welford) to reach the final and also Alan Jones who defeated Ray Kerry in the singles.
