AUDIENCE members at Kidderminster's Rose Theatre will get to see what made former Prime Minister Harold Macmillan tick when the curtain rises on the new season on Monday.
Resident group The Nonentities have chosen the intimate studio at the Chester Road venue to stage Hugh Whitemore's A Letter of Resignation until Saturday, September 20.
The story of "misunderstood moral integrity" delves into the private life of the man in the hotseat in 1963, the year rocked by The Great Train Robbery, The Beatles and the Profumo scandal.
Nonentities artistic director Liz Cole said: "We've done Whitemore before. Audiences may remember Pack of Lies which had a political basis. A Letter of Resignation is a similar emotional journey.
The box office is now open on 01562 743745, while season booklets are available.
