TV licence dodgers in Wyre Forest may get an unwelcome visit when they are eating a meal in front of the television.
TV Licensing's new strategy has been to target homes between 5pm and 9pm as well as during major sporting events or dramatic soap storylines. An estimated 52 per cent of people without licences have been caught in the middle of their TV dinners.
Mark Whitehouse, spokesman for TV Licensing Midlands, said: "With our increasing focus on dinnertime visits, evaders should fear that knock on the door as it may well be our inquiry officers rather than the pizza delivery man," he added.
