A Pershore student nurse is planning to take part in a charity fun run to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society - a disease her mother has suffered from for 26 years.
Sarah Lavender, aged 20, will be running the fivekilometre Flora Light Challenge 2003 in London's Hyde Park on Sunday.
She is hoping to raise money to fund the charity's specialist nurses and additional MRI scanners.
Sarah said: "I have taken part in the Race for Life a couple of times and thought running was a good way to raise funds. This time I am organising a sweep stake to guess the time I will complete the Flora race in." Sarah's mother, Margaret, said: "I think what she is
doing is marvellous - Sarah has done fundraising in one form or another since she was 11 years old." To sponsor Sarah visit www.justgiving.com/running4mum.
