CLEARLY N Taylor would only be happy if he had the entire road system to himself to drive on, at whatever speed he desired.

He frequently refers to "bus movements" which, according to him, are insignificant compared to "car movements".

Be that as it may, "bus movements" and bus lanes are important to such as myself, who are both too old and too impecunious to drive.

I do not have a clue whether park-and-ride is a good or bad thing. However, it is fatuous for N Taylor to blame Labour for its operation. He may as well blame the Romans and Mediaeval ecclesiastics for creating a town in this part of the Severn flood plain in the first place.

For Mr Taylor's information, the Tories and their allies, the Association of Independents, have been in power a long time now.
