BLIND and partially sighted people from across Wyre Forest were given a taste of some of the clever devices available to them when a pioneering mobile unit dropped into Stourport.
Action for Blind People brought the unit, demonstrating a range of aids and state-of-the-art computer technology using magnification and speech software, to the riverside car park.
The devices sampled by visitors included a talking colour detector, capable of checking the hue of clothes or the ripeness of fruit, a 16ft talking tape measure and a speaking microwave.
