I WAS surprised to read in the View on the Street column that we in Kidderminster are blessed with only two traffic wardens!
Every time I see them, they are together. Such are the parking problems in the town during the present re-development, these limited resources should surely be spread wider - ie different areas being covered.
Having seen people striding briskly away from vehicles parked in the disabled parking spaces when in town with my wheelchair-using mother, I have never yet been aware of improper use of these spaces being challenged.
To our two traffic wardens I say: "Split up, chaps!" Parking cheats are all over the place. You'd get twice the area covered - and twice the income from fines!
Incidentally, when alone, I enjoy using the park-and-ride service.
It often feels like a private and cheap taxi service. The drivers are all cheerful and obliging.
