BURLISH Olympic gained early revenge on Worcester City with a 3-1 victory in the Kidderminster and District County Women's League.
Worcester may have pipped them to the title and the League Cup last season but boss Dave Glass was delighted to see the roles reversed on Sunday.
Left-back Jo Carpenter had a superb debut, winning the player-of-the-match award and putting Burlish ahead from a corner.
Debbie Prescott added two impressive individual strikes before Worcester gained a second-half consolation at Lickhill Middle School.
Burlish also gave debuts to keeper Becky Butler, midfielder Karina Farr and striker Kate Bailey.
Glass said: "I was proud of the way they bounced back from the disappointment of losing out to Worcester last season."
On Sunday the Stourport side head to league newcomers Bewdley Town who will include their former player Karina Webb.
