TWO men who attacked a 64-year-old man were planning to burgle his house, police believe.
He was hit on the head as he left his car at his isolated house in Astley Cross at 11.30pm last Thursday.
However, he managed to fight them off and escaped when his wife opened the door to the house. The attackers then fled and he was treated at Kidderminster Hospital.
A police spokesman said: "We believe the motive was burglary."
