SWIMMING: Wyre Forest Swimming Club are celebrating winning their first competitive gala of the season at Stourport.

The A team won 23 out of 49 races at the Interlink Express Gala for swimmers aged from U-11s to open categories.

They also collected 15 second and six third places, while the Bs had five seconds and two thirds.

A Cook and Paul Ingenthron both made the ASA National Age Group event in Sheffield.

Cook, 11, was eighth in the 400m freestyle final, ninth in the 800m freestyle and 22nd in the 100m freestyle and 200m backstroke. Ingenthron, 12, was 20th in the 100m backstroke.
