VALE fans of classic musicals could be off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of
Oz at Evesham's Arts Centre next week.
Evesham Operatic and Dramatic Society is staging the evergreen production from next Tuesday until the following Saturday.
The show's director, Glynda Sanger, said: "This promises to be one of the most spectacular
shows ever seen at the arts centre.
"Join us as we travel over the rainbow to the magical land of Oz, where you can share Dorothy's experiences along the yellow brick road and meet some of the wonderful characters she encounters on her journey to the Emerald City."
The production features a variety of dance styles, ranging from ballet to tap and funky
modern and incorporates special effects.
The EODS show is aimed at a family audience, offering something for everyone from children to grandparents. The company is also on the lookout for new members, whether they want to be out front on stage or are keen to help out behind the scenes.
Details of EODS's forthcoming production, Anything Goes, pencilled in for March, 2004, will be revealed in due course.
