RARE blue opal jewellery valued at more than £2,000 was stolen in a house burglary in Wadborough, near Worcester.
The missing jewellery, taken on Friday, August 22, consists of two necklaces, one with a spider design, the other in a daisy shape; a bangle-style bracelet, a pair of nine- carat teardrop earrings, and two blue opal and gold stick-pins.
A Victorian teak jewellery box, measuring 6 x 8 x 6in and valued at £100 was also taken.
"The missing items are considered to be very rare in terms of their individual design, which may help in them being traced more quickly," said a Worcester police spokesman.
