JANET Moorhouse's letter (Advertiser, September 3) must represent the first occasion on which NEW College has been berated for not running a course which it never advertised in the first place.
For adults wishing to go on to university study, we would recommend precisely the sort of Access to Higher Education course on which Janet is now enrolled and which dispenses with the need for mature students like her to acquire the evening class A-level she wished we offered.
The ''real and basic needs'' of more than 10,000 Redditch citizens are met by NEW College every year in more than 30 venues throughout the town but even with the highest percentage of adult students per head of population in our region, it's impossible to satisfy every demand.
But I promise we will carry on trying!
