A FILM with Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock is never going to break the mould, push boundaries or challenge the IQ.

But what it will do is, to coin a phrase, exactly what it says on the tin. Hugh will be Hugh, playing Hugh in typical Hugh-like fashion.

Sandra will be Sandra, playing the girl next door who is cute in a not unnattractive way and who is an all-round good egg.

Bullock plays Lucy, a Harvard law graduate with a conscience, busy trying to save various community centres and architectural gems from destruction by big, nasty heartless developers.

Enter George Wade (Grant), one of the above who hires Lucy in a deal which includes saving said buildings.

She spends most of her time running around after him choosing ties etc and eventually decides enough is enough. But both find letting go isn't as easy as they thought...

Think Notting Hill without the British humour. Think Four Weddings without the originality and with lashings of sentimentality.

Think every formulaic romantic comedy from the Rock Hudson-Doris Day combos to the later Meg Ryan-Tom Hanks efforts and you're there.

Instantly forgettable, this is an insubstantial piece of fluffy entertainment that will keep you vaguely amused for an hour and a half and then let you get on with your life without ever giving it another thought.
