TWO caring Spa friends are preparing to raise bucketloads of cash to visit and help the citizens of Uganda.
Jean Auty and Mari Singleton are preparing to spread their love, care and support this November.
The pair, who will join a team of four to teach reflexology in Uganda, are planning a series of events to raise funds for the trip.
One fundraising event will be a quiz evening at the Worcestershire Association for the Blind in Worcester this Friday.
This is not the first time Mari has taken up such a challenge. She joined six other members of Reflexology Outreach International (ROI) when she visited the country in 2001.
But this will be the first visit for Jean, who works as a paediatric nurse at Worcestershire Royal Hospital. Jean has already helped to support five orphaned siblings whose parents died of Aids and she plans to visit them in November as part of the project.
"I am very much looking forward to the visit and hope to raise as much money as possible," she said.
