Frankley Guitar Club is starting its fourth season and hoping to attract some new members.
The club is run by an American guitarist/teacher. The venue is Frankley High School and Community Centre in New Street, Frankley. The club meets from 7.15-9.15 on Wednesday nights (fortnightly).
The club is performance based in that you not only learn to advance your skills in guitar playing but also in performing in a public setting and a friendly environment.
Each club begins with a 20 minute guitar lesson on some aspect of guitar playing.
Then there is time for interested people to perform what they have practised during the week.
Everyone is guaranteed to be able to play at least one song on the night.
All styles and levels are welcome. There is a PA system at the venue.
The purpose of the club is to really encourage players to develop their skills at their pace and in a friendly environment.
