THE £500,000 LOWES Court Community Centre in Elm Grove, Norton, Bromsgrove, was officially opened. The complex had accommodation for 119 residents and included some bungalows.
BROMSGROVE General Hospital staged an open day to allow visitors the opportunity of seeing behind the scenes in the departments.
TEACHER Jean Harris, from Dawson Road, Bromsgrove, swopped her classroom for a West Midlands Gas showroom in Solihull for a year to get a taste of life in the world of commerce. She was head of geography at Dame Elizabeth Cadbury School in Bournville.
