BROMSGROVE Rovers went to the top of the Midland Combination Reserve Division with a 3-0 victory at Rugby United.
Steve Cotton's side were ahead within three minutes when a right wing combination of Richard Gibson and Sean Maynard set up Ryan Dams to side foot home.
The visitors' second goal came on 20 minutes. A left wing move built up through full back Pike and Ryan Dams allowed Maynard to cross for speedy Matthew Inniss and he crashed a volley past the goalkeeper.
Mark Smith's casual path let Rugby in 15 minutes later but they could not take advantage.
The half ended with a scare for Bromsgrove as goalkeeper Myles Day's stray clearance went unpunished.
With 18 minutes left, Richard Gibson found Maynard who went on a mazy dribble past two defenders and made space to cleverly wrong foot the goalkeeper and make it 3-0.
Further efforts followed from Matthew Inniss and Karl Gray but to no avail.
Man of the match was Tom Davies.
