Feckenham 2

Leamington 1

FECKENHAM earned all the plaudits after wiping away Leamington's unbeaten start to the Midland Combination Premier League season on Saturday.

The visitors, who had scored 15 times during their five games, were stunned when James Harper headed Feckenham in front after 20 minutes.

Leamington forced an equaliser just before half-time and piled on the pressure after the break.

But The Millers stuck to their task and grabbed a deserved winner when Harper pulled the ball back to Stuart Douglas in the penalty box to fire home with 20 minutes left on the clock.

"Many people at Leamington and outside our club may have been surprised by our win," said Millers' manager Lee Adams. "But we know that we have a very good squad at the club this season and our aim now has to be a top-six spot."
