A LIFEGUARD club launched its new fleet of boats at a naming ceremony at the weekend at Upton Warren.
More than 30 people turned up to Upton Warren Watersports Centre to see the Pershore-based South Worcestershire Lifesaving and Lifeguard launch its new boats.
The new vessels replace three older boats which have been used for the past 12 years.
The boats have been named Win Summerton and Walter Bradford, after the late founders of the club.
People were given free rides in the new boats and there was also a raffle, barbecue and various water activities.
"It went really well and we had a great day with great weather," said Rob Inett, lifeguard with the club.
"It was quite a poignant moment especially since the people they were named after were well-known in the community."
